Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In the bowl of your stand mixer, combine warm water, oil, yeast, and sugar.
  2. Rest the Mixture: Allow to rest for 5 minutes until the mixture looks ‘puffy’.
  3. Add Flour and Egg: Mix in 2 cups of flour, salt, and egg using a dough hook.
  4. Incorporate Remaining Flour: Gradually add the remaining flour while mixing.
  5. Knead the Dough: Let the mixer knead the dough until it forms a smooth ball.
  6. Shape the Rolls: Divide the dough into 12 balls and place in a baking dish.
  7. Rest and Preheat: Allow the dough to rest for 10 minutes while preheating the oven to 400F.
  8. Bake: Bake for 10 minutes until the tops are golden brown.
  9. Brush with Butter: Remove from the oven and brush the tops with butter.

Notes

  • You can use melted butter instead of olive oil for a richer flavor.
  • Feel free to sprinkle some herbs or cheese on top of the rolls before baking for added flavor.
