Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (8 oz) jar salsa (mild, medium, or hot)
  • 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Cook Beef: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook the ground beef until no pink remains, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain any excess fat and stir in the taco seasoning until evenly combined.
  2. Layer the Dip: Spread the softened cream cheese evenly in the bottom of a pie dish. Pour the salsa over the cream cheese layer, then spoon the seasoned ground beef on top. Finish by sprinkling the shredded sharp cheddar cheese over the beef.
  3. Bake: Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove the foil and serve warm as a delicious game day dip.

Notes

  • Use your preferred salsa heat level to adjust spiciness.
  • For extra flavor, consider adding chopped green onions or jalapeños on top before serving.
  • Serve with tortilla chips, crackers, or sliced veggies for dipping.
  • Make sure the cream cheese is softened for easy spreading.
  • Leftovers can be refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3 days and reheated.
