Scale

Peanut Sauce Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup seasoned rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 12 teaspoons Sriracha hot sauce
  • 26 tablespoons unsweetened coconut milk or water, as needed

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a medium-sized bowl, whisk together the peanut butter, seasoned rice vinegar, low sodium soy sauce, pure maple syrup, ground ginger, and Sriracha hot sauce until smooth.
  2. Add Liquid: Gradually add 2 tablespoons of unsweetened coconut milk or water to the mixture and whisk. Add more in small increments until you reach your desired sauce consistency.
  3. Serve: Use the sauce as a dip, and optionally sprinkle with crushed peanuts for added texture. It also pairs well with cooked vegetables, noodles, Buddha bowls, fresh spring rolls, tofu, and salads.
  4. Store: Transfer the sauce to a covered container and store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, or freeze in a freezer-safe container for longer storage.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of Sriracha according to desired spice level.
  • If the sauce is too thick, thin it with additional coconut milk or water.
  • The sauce can be used as a dressing, dip, or marinade.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.
  • Sprinkle crushed peanuts on top for extra crunch when serving as a dip.
