Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
  • 8 ounce cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup buffalo sauce (Frank’s Red Hots is recommended)
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided

For Serving

  • 2 tablespoons blue cheese dressing or ranch dressing, for garnish
  • Fritos scoops, baguette slices, carrot sticks, and celery sticks, for dipping

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix together the shredded chicken, softened cream cheese, sour cream, buffalo sauce, and 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese until fully combined using a large spatula.
  2. Prepare for Baking: Spread the mixture evenly in the bottom of a 1.5-quart baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top.
  3. Bake the Dip: Place the baking dish in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C). Bake uncovered for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is fully melted and the dip is bubbly.
  4. Garnish and Serve: Remove the dish from the oven and immediately drizzle the top with blue cheese or ranch dressing. Serve warm with Fritos scoops, baguette slices, carrot sticks, and celery sticks for dipping. Enjoy!

Notes

  • You can cook and shred chicken breasts ahead of time or use a rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • Adjust the amount of buffalo sauce to control the spiciness of the dip.
  • For a smoother texture, let the cream cheese soften at room temperature before mixing.
  • Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture, but leftover dip can be refrigerated and reheated.
