Ingredients
- 45–50 seedless green grapes
- 1 cup caramel bits
- 2 tbsp heavy whipping cream
- 1 cup chopped peanuts
- Prepare the grapes: Line your baking sheet with parchment paper. Wash the grapes thoroughly and dry them completely using paper towels. Ensuring the grapes are super dry helps the caramel stick better.
- Prepare peanuts and grapes: Finely chop the peanuts and place them in a bowl. Insert a toothpick into each grape for easier dipping and handling. Set the grapes aside.
- Melt the caramel: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the caramel bits and heavy whipping cream. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the caramel is fully melted and has a smooth consistency.
- Dip grapes: One by one, dip each grape into the melted caramel, allowing any excess caramel to drip off before immediately rolling the grape in the chopped peanuts.
- Set grapes: Place the caramel and peanut coated grapes onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Chill and serve: Repeat the process with all the remaining grapes, then refrigerate them until ready to serve. The caramel will firm up, making these treats easy and delicious to enjoy.
Notes
- Make sure grapes are completely dry to prevent caramel from sliding off.
- If caramel becomes too thick when melting, add a bit more heavy cream to loosen it.
- Use fresh, firm grapes to achieve the best texture.
- To easily remove the grapes from the toothpicks, soften caramel slightly before serving or eat them directly from the toothpicks.
- These treats can be stored covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
