  • 2 large eggs

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard loaf pan.
  2. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and 1 cup of sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Mix Wet Ingredients: Gradually add the milk, mixing until combined.
  5. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon.
  6. Combine Wet and Dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  7. Prepare Pan and Batter: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  8. Add Topping: In a small bowl, mix together 1/4 cup of sugar and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon. Sprinkle this mixture evenly over the top of the batter.
