  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

For the Creamy Sauce:

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 packet ranch seasoning mix
  • 1/2 cup chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Sear the Chicken – Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Season chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Sear for 3-4 minutes per side; set aside.
  2. Cook the Rice – In the same skillet, add rice, chicken broth, paprika, and thyme. Stir well.
  3. Simmer – Nestle chicken back in skillet, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until rice is tender and chicken is cooked.
  4. Make the Creamy Sauce – Whisk together heavy cream, sour cream, and ranch seasoning. Pour over chicken and rice.
  5. Add Cheese – Sprinkle cheddar cheese on top, cover, and cook for 5 more minutes until melted.
  6. Garnish & Serve – Top with green onions and serve warm.
