Spaghetti:

  • 13.5 oz package spaghetti

Lemon Garlic Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 3/4 cup whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 cup parmesan cheese
  • pasta water (add as needed)

Instructions

  1. Boil the Pasta: Boil a large pot of salted water. Cook spaghetti to al dente.
  2. Prepare the Sauce: Sauté garlic in olive oil with red pepper flakes and black pepper. Add lemon zest and cream. Let sauce thicken.
  3. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Turn off heat, add lemon juice to sauce. Mix cooked spaghetti into sauce. Add pasta water as needed for creaminess.
  4. Finish and Garnish: Top with parmesan cheese, parsley, and basil.

Notes

  • Be careful not to brown the garlic to avoid bitterness.
