For the Skillet Lasagna:

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 tsp garlic powder (divided)
  • 3 tsp onion powder
  • 24 oz pasta sauce
  • 12 oz bow-tie pasta, uncooked
  • 2 cups water

For the Cheese Mixture:

  • ½ cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup fresh chopped spinach
  • ½ cup fresh chopped basil
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Brown the Beef: Combine ground beef, 1 tsp garlic powder, and onion powder in a large skillet. Brown over medium heat, then drain excess fat.
  2. Add Sauce and Pasta: Return cooked beef to the skillet. Add pasta sauce, uncooked pasta, and water.
  3. Cook the Pasta: Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 17-20 minutes or until pasta is cooked.
  4. Prepare Cheese Mixture: In a bowl, mix ricotta, egg, spinach, basil, Parmesan cheese, flour, remaining garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  5. Add Cheese Mixture: Dollop the cheese mixture over the cooked pasta in the skillet.
  6. Set the Cheese: Cover and cook for an additional 5 minutes to set the cheese.
