Puff Pastry:

  • 400g Puff pastry

Filling:

  • 100g Fresh Strawberries
  • 100ml Whipping cream (sweetened with a few tablespoons of icing sugar)
  • 8 teaspoons Strawberry jam
  • 1 tablespoon White cocoa syrup
  • About 2 tablespoons Icing sugar for sprinkling
  • Melted chocolate for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Cut Pastry: Cut hearts out from the puff pastry or cut rectangles. If cutting rectangles, use only half the puff pastry. If cutting hearts, use the full 400g pastry. Save off cuts for later use.
  2. Eggwash and Bake: Brush egg wash on top of the pastry. Bake until golden brown and puffed.
  3. Fill Pastry: Slice the hearts open. Spoon 1 teaspoon of strawberry jam inside. Pipe sweetened whipped cream mixed with white cocoa syrup on top. Add freshly sliced strawberries. Close with the top pastry.
  4. Final Touches: Dust with icing sugar and drizzle with melted chocolate.
