Ingredients

Scale

Dry Ingredients

  • 6 cups Corn Chex Cereal
  • 6 cups small pretzels
  • 1 16-oz jar dry roasted peanuts
  • 1 11-oz bag plain M&M’s

Chocolate Coating

  • 2 12-oz bags white chocolate chips
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil

Optional

  • Sprinkles for topping

Instructions

  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a very large bowl, mix together Corn Chex cereal, pretzels, dry roasted peanuts, and plain M&M’s. To avoid mess while stirring, you may divide the ingredients evenly between two bowls.
  2. Prepare Baking Sheets: Line two baking sheets with wax or parchment paper and set them aside for the chocolate-coated mixture.
  3. Melt White Chocolate: Place white chocolate chips and vegetable oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth. Be cautious not to overheat, as white chocolate can seize if burnt.
  4. Combine with Dry Mix: Pour the melted white chocolate over the dry ingredient mixture. Gently fold the mixture until all pieces are evenly coated with chocolate.
  5. Spread and Decorate: Spoon the coated mixture onto the lined baking sheets and spread evenly to cover the pans. If desired, sprinkle sprinkles on top for a colorful touch.
  6. Set and Store: Place the baking sheets in the refrigerator and chill until the white chocolate is set and firm. Once cooled, break the mixture into chunks. Store in an airtight container at room temperature to maintain freshness.

Notes

  • Divide the dry ingredients into two bowls to make folding and mixing easier and less messy.
  • Be very careful when melting the white chocolate to avoid overheating which can cause it to seize.
  • Use wax or parchment paper on baking sheets to prevent sticking.
  • Store the finished mixture in an airtight container to keep it fresh and crunchy.
  • Optional sprinkles add a festive touch but can be omitted if preferred.
